Answer
The question is how honest are you with yourself. Do you want to lift and get big and strong in months, or do you want to slack off for a few years and get a little bit bigger over your highschool career?brbrI would highly recommend a sport. Wrestling would definetly take you to an entire new level of athleticism. Unlike football it is more of a quotyou vs. other guyquot sport. But the training will make you lose fat and gain muscle like no other.brbrIf you dont really want to do a sport then do this.brGo to a gym and lift a lot. Lift times a week upperbody and do legs on the other day. Dont skip days because your tired. Learn how to do your main exercises squats, situps, curls, dips, pullups, etc. in PERFECT FORM!!! brbrAND THEN YOU HAVE TO EAT A TON OF GOOD FOOD. Unfortunetly except in super rare instances a person cannot lose fat and gain muscle mass. With the gain of muslce mass comes fat. You have to spend time losing fat and not eating as much to reverse the fat part.brbrHere is the key to lifting. Drink A TON OF WATER. UNTIL you throw UP. And then lift some more. If you want to build up muslce you first have to tear it all down. Water is your life force and extreme lifting which equals extreme muslce gaining requires you to be at your maximum. A dehydration equals up to loss of strenght or more.brbrThe other key is getting protein. You need a lot of it and with out supplementing it will be hard. I would seriously recommend getting protein powder. Protein will you recover quickly after a hard lift. brbrAnother really good supplement is creatine. Creatine forces your body to suck in water into your muscles which helps them lift longer which equals more lifting so more gains. get it???brbrBut a person could do without supplements. The key will be your diet. You need to get a lot of calories that are healthy. Not pop, no alchol, no chocolate overdosing... etc. Depending on your size you need to be getting calories or more a day when your are lifting. And water, you can drink as much as you want. I mean as much as you want. Water has zero calories so drink away. Gatorade is good but has a lot of unnecessary sugar.brbrbrbrbrbrOk so here is what you do...brBegin lifting, begin eating more food per day but healthier, work your entire bodysquats are very important, good form.brbrDo your curls, squats, military press, bench press, pullups, stuff like that. Look up how to do proper form and always ALWAYS practice PERFECT FORMgtgtgtbrbrand yes, to get big you must lift weights. You could do like running, all pushups, all situps, all pullups but you wont get big muscle then. If your looking for big you have to lift.brbrDont over do yourself. Start reasonable but dont quit because it burns. Quit when you have done or good sets of an exercise. The next day the part of the body you worked should feel sore.
